Our Story

Sherri started baking as child with her Great, Great Aunt Fannie Green. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen and watching the joy a good sweet could bring to family and friends. As she grew her own family, she ventured more into adding a little flavor here and a little flavor there changing recipes to make them her own. It wasn’t until she and her family moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina that her cake world changed. The first time Sherri shared her butter pound cake with her work office, her foodie colleague Tonya Williams renamed the cake ‘Betta than Yo Mamas’ the name stuck, and the orders begin. Years later Sherri and her husband moved from North Carolina but the cravings and request continued. Therefore, in 2018 she promised all that by the end of year 2019 she would ready to start selling again.


Now the question still remains, is there a secret ingredient? And the answer is yes, a cup of love and a sprinkle of joy goes in every cake.
